Welcome To NicolleShops Portland
In addition to being my home I consider Portland, Oregon to be my first true love. Since 2001 I have been in the media and started “Nicolle Shops Portland” on-air while co-hosting the Z100 morning radio show and quickly added television reporting to my duties. My segments were about fashion, shopping and trends and I received hundreds of emails from women asking questions and wanting more information. It made me realize that women needed a resource guide to this great city. How are we going to be good girls and “buy locally” if we don’t know where to go to get what we want? There are countless amazing boutiques and businesses here and I think you should really only go to the mall if you are craving a Cinnabon, not for individual style. So, as a result Nicolle Shops Portland expanded onto the web. Popularity grew and the segment was invited to be a regular feature on television, other radio stations, in newspapers and magazines.
The Day to Day:
Since its conception NSP has branched out to cover many other topics in addition to shopping because, like any woman, I am interested in a thousand different things and we know you are too. I am also very grateful for the people who work here to make the impossible possible every day for this one-of-a-kind endeavor to fashionably support local business. Every year we conduct hundreds of shop-keeper interviews, produce countless television segments, supply radio content, write articles and style layouts, host several events and put on our annual huge fashion show shopping party, not to mention maintaining the website! No one knows this city better and exploring it with you is an honor.
